Our Story

Moon Down was founded in 2019 by Amanda and David. On a trip to the spiritual town of Ojai, California, the couple was inspired to carry on the legacy of David’s forefathers and bring the 100% European down products and share it with the rest of the world.

For nearly a century, David's family has been crafting dreams into down bedding in the charming heart of Hungary. With a direct link to their factory and Amanda's flair for branding and a love for design, the co-founders brought Moon Down to life. Each piece is lovingly handcrafted from the finest materials sourced across Europe and sent straight from our workshop to your home.

Elevating beds since 1933

Nearly a century ago, we launched our first factory in a small sun-filled Budapest, Hungary studio with the goal to create the most comfortable, lightweight, fluffiest duvet one has yet to experience.
